How GCP custom machine pricing works
Unlike AWS and Azure, GCP does not price a machine as a unit — it prices the vCPUs and the memory separately. A custom machine type lets you choose both, so you pay for exactly the CPU-to-memory ratio your workload needs instead of rounding up to the nearest predefined shape.
