Pricing notes
- Tokenizer: Newer tokenizer produces roughly 30% more tokens per unit of text — per-token price is not directly comparable across tokenizer generations. See tokenizer.
- Superseded by Claude Opus 5.5 (2026-09-22), which lists at $4 / $20 with $0.20 cache reads against this model's $5 / $25 and $0.50. Fast mode (research preview, first-party API only) is priced at $10 input / $50 output.
