Axion & Arm (C4A)

C4A runs on Google’s Axion Arm processor — strong price/performance for scale-out and cloud-native workloads that run on Arm.

Google Axion is Google’s custom Arm-based (arm64) server CPU. The C4A machine series runs on Axion and targets scale-out, cloud-native, and general compute workloads that have Arm builds, competing on price/performance with x86 compute-optimized machines.

Arm VMs require Arm-compatible software. Where a workload can run on Arm, C4A is often the cheapest way to buy compute-optimized capacity on GCP. This explorer marks C4A as arm64 in the architecture filter.
