Savings Plan for Compute
A commitment to a fixed hourly spend for 1 or 3 years that flexes across VM series, sizes, and regions.
An Azure Savings Plan for Compute commits you to spend a set amount per hour for one or three years. In exchange, eligible compute usage across many series, sizes, and regions is billed at reduced Savings Plan rates until you hit your commitment, then at On-Demand.
It is more flexible than a Reserved Instance (not locked to one size/region) and usually a slightly smaller discount for the same term. This explorer surfaces the published effective Savings Plan $/hr straight from the Retail Prices API.
