The deepest discount versus Linux On-Demand across all Reserved and Savings Plan options for a size.
The Max saving column is the single deepest discount available on a size across every Reserved Instance and Savings Plan term shown — usually the 3-year all-in reservation. It is a quick "how much could a commitment save me here?" signal.
It is measured against the Linux On-Demand rate. Spot is excluded from Max saving because it is indicative and interruptible, not a committed rate.
