Cobalt & Ampere (Arm on Azure)
Azure’s Arm64 VMs run on either Microsoft’s Cobalt 100 or the Ampere Altra processor.
Azure offers Arm64 VMs for strong price/performance on cloud-native and scale-out workloads. The current p-suffix v6 series (Dpsv6, Epsv6) run on Microsoft’s own Cobalt 100 silicon; the older Bpsv2 burstable series runs on the Ampere Altra processor.
Both are Arm64 and run Arm Linux builds; this explorer groups them under the "Arm" processor filter and labels the exact silicon per row.
